AYA is deeply rooted in the community. It was formed out of an understanding of community needs and its leaders are a part of the community.
AYA makes investments in the community in a more informed way because of its proximity to the community, transparent process, and trust-based relationships. We are bringing decision-making power to the Black community.
About Us
Colorado’s only Black-led community foundation, the AYA Foundation exists to lead an Economic Revolution by creating a vibrant community of Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders for individual and collective agency and access to capital, resources, and training.
It is our vision to have a restorative and transformative effect on the Colorado landscape and beyond leading to long-term gains towards equity by closing the wealth gap for the Black community.
Our Programs
AYA holds firmly to the belief that successful businesses are direct pathways to wealth, teach our children essential financial and economic skills, decrease the unemployment rate and circulate money within our community.
A New Way Forward
We are working toward a world in which our children do not face the same struggles that we’ve been through, and where future generations have equity and generational wealth.
